Current Student Work -
In addition to maintaining my own active artistic practice, I have been teaching Visual Arts at the secondary level for over twenty years, in both the United States and Türkiye. Throughout this time, I have developed and delivered a wide range of art courses, including Drawing & Painting, Ceramics, Photography (digital, analog, and alternative processes), Printmaking (relief, intaglio, and screen printing), and Graphic Design. My teaching has supported students at various levels, from introductory exploration to advanced preparation for post-secondary study in the visual arts.

I have taught in diverse educational settings, including programs aligned with both the College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) Art curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). For the past six years, I have taught the IBDP Visual Arts course, guiding students through the full scope of the curriculum and supporting their development as independent, concept-driven artists. In addition to classroom teaching, I serve as an IBDP examiner, assessing both the Process Portfolio and the Extended Essay in Visual Arts, which has further deepened my understanding of international assessment standards and best practices in arts education.

Additionally, I enjoy contributing to the professional art education community through mentorship, participation, and presentation at Art and Education conferences. I am an active member of the International Society of Education through Art (INSEA).
