Reflective Grounds

Reflective Grounds began with the wet spring landscape of Datça, Türkiye, where rain-filled fields mirrored the surrounding land and sky, creating shifting passages between earth, water, and light. The series grew through continued encounters with water and spring landscapes while traveling through Ireland and Seattle, where lakes, islands, wetland fields, and late-season blooms became new points of observation.

Created with oil paint and gold leaf on wood panel, these atmospheric paintings explore the reflective and transformative qualities of water, and the ways landscape can hold memories of place across distance and time.
